From a young age, music has been an important part of Sean's life. He grew up around music and performance of all kinds, and when the opportunity arose at age 10 to choose an instrument to play at school, he picked up a violin and never looked back.

Heavily influenced by the traditional music of Ireland, Sean, a classically trained violinist, enjoys playing tunes on a variety of instruments, including fiddle, guitar, tenor banjo and bodhrán. He also thoroughly enjoys belting out powerful Irish ballads, along with popular upbeat pub songs.

As both a soloist and in groups, Sean has played many festivals across New York State, including the Rochester Celtic Festival, Buffalo Irish Festival, and Niagara County Celtic Festival in Lockport, NY. He as also played such venues as the Shannon Pub in Buffalo, and Lovin' Cup and Sticky Lips BBQ in Rochester. A frequent collaborator with other musicians, over the years Sean has had the privilege of sharing the stage with greats in the Irish and folk music world such as We Banjo 3, House of Hamill, Rory Makem, and renowned composer and songwriter Jay Ungar.

Currently Sean lives in The Bronx where he is an active performing musician and member of the traditional Irish music community. You can also frequently find him at contra dances throughout New York City. When he is not performing or dancing, Sean teaches general and instrumental music at a school in The Bronx.
